In terms of what I need to get right now, here's what I figured one needs for this bike, asap:

  • Rox Speed anti-vibration bar raisers, 150$ - already ordered on ebay
  • Corbin seat - it's a must. I won'd buy the KTM comfort seat because I think they're doing it on purpose.
  • windshield. I think I will get the little KTM dingy for now and later, If I end up driving lots, I will get the full rally fairing.

Here's a great look at the KTM 690 Enduro, including what accessories are needed and what other things can be done with it - cmgonline.com/rc/content/view/1674/255

2012-07-21 Update: still waiting for the Rox anti-vibe raisers. I am getting used to the bike now. Still can't do more than 1 hour on it due to vibrations and seat, but it's got lots of torque :)

I also did the 15 minute reset procedure: disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then start the engine and let it idle for 15 minutes. That seems to have helped a lot with the idle issues. I can only assume the dealer didn't do it properly...
